Services

  • Creating a path together toward a grounded body, a centered heart, and a bright mind …

  • Individual Counseling

Creating a space that you can bring all of yourself to:

Where the focus is on honoring yourself- feeling the things you need to feel and finding voice for the things you need to say,

Where the focus is on knowing yourself- uncovering who you are, your strengths, as well the unconscious habits that limit the joy and possibilities for life and relationships,

Where the focus is on growing yourself - making a plan to care for and invest in all parts of you.

  • Collaborative Care

You are the expert on you and your family (even if it doesn’t feel like it) and the focus is on figuring out what you need and how to get it.

This may include collaboration with other providers such as your physician, psychiatrist or lactation consultant … and based on your needs and situation, may also include your partner, your baby or others that are important to you.

  • Preventative Counseling

Preventative counseling has been recommended by the United States Preventative Services Task Force, as it has been shown to reduce the likelihood of depression and anxiety after birth.

Preventative counseling, including planning how to support yourself in the months just after giving birth can be particularly helpful for parents (and couples) who have previously struggled with, or are at risk for, mental or physical health complications.

  • Counseling for Couples

Counseling for couples navigating the challenges that come along with transitions, as well as those working to cope with medically complicated pregnancies, NICU hospitalizations, infertility intervention and pregnancy and newborn loss.

  • Therapy Groups & Workshops

Therapy groups and workshops are offered based on the needs of current patients, as well as the needs of the community.

Modalities of Care

The assumption that all parts of ourselves are connected is central to the modalities of care that I am drawn toward and have been trained in. These modalities include mindfulness (body and breath based interventions), used in conjunction with narrative and cognitive-behavioral therapies, as well as EMDR and Brainspotting used to “process & integrate” traumatic experiences and memories.
